Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. After today motorists will likely have to wait a week before petrol prices are again at the bottom of the price cycle.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 12 July 2023), the average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 31 cents per litre (cpl) to 194.2 cpl. Caltex/Puma hiking by up to 50 cpl up to 209.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, Ampol and Coles Express up to 205.9 cpl; EG Ampol and BP up to 203.9 cpl; Vibe up to 203.5 cpl; and United up to 192.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 32 individual sites offering prices below 162 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 52 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $31 on a 60 litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

• 159.5 cpl at Atlas Fuel Forrestfield in the East;
• 157.9 cpl at EG Ampol South Lake in the South; and
• 157.9 cpl at EG Ampol Banksia Grove and EG Ampol Greenwood in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

• 159.7 cpl at Vibe Upper Swan in the East;
• 158.7 cpl at Costco Casuarina and Costco Perth Airport (membership required) and 158.9 cpl at Vibe Kwinana OPT in the South; and
• 157.5 cpl at Liberty Banksia Grove in the North.
